EDUCATION AND CREDITS
I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Photography from Brown College in MN where I was trained in all aspects of photography. There, I began to specialize in event and food photography as well as professional portraiture. The array of tools and techniques that I honed as a student continue to be a part of my everyday practice. I believe my comprehensive artistic education and skilled mentors through the years have given me an edge over other twin cities photographers and photography companies.
Alex Carroll Photography is a minority-owned business, and I was honored to receive recognition from the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Small Business Enterprise (SBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), and Targeted Business Group (TBG), as well as receiving certifications from Central CERT Certification Program, Minnesota Unified Certification Program (MNUCP), and the Minnesota Department of Administration.
I have worked in the photography industry for over nine years, with a focus on commercial and business photography. I am fortunate to have worked with many talented, trusted clients over the years, but some of my most notable photography projects were with the Minnesota Lynx for the WNBA Championship Finals and my stint as team photographer for the Women’s USA Hockey Team, the Minnesota Swarm, and the MN Stars (previously known as MN United). I am also a trusted member of the Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce and their go-to guy for all of their photographic needs.
I live in St. Paul with my beautiful wife and two boys. Since I grew up in St. Paul, I feel so lucky to be raising my children in the small, tight-knit Twin Cities community that I know and love.
